MG Oil Caps

Many audiophiles all over the world know that a good NOS oil cap gives you the best natural sound compared to any plastic capacitors.

We don’t want to give you a boring, technical analysis. We recommend you try and listen to it!

Our relationship with the paper in oil caps started when a “roadie” dropped  our 53’ Signal Corps Sound Reproducer on the floor and broke one electrolytic capacitor, before we changed it we noted that all capacitors were oil capacitors, Pyramid brand. We decide make a test. We changed all the oil caps for polyester metalized capacitors and that “creamy” tone simply disappeared. Instead we got a “brittle”, metallic and soulless sound. Then we put in SOZO caps... same thing, no magic tone anymore!

After that test, all of our amps and our line of effects pedals (except Echo Folks &  MGMUFFfeliz) come with MG Oil Cap, as does our MG WAHWAH..

For the first time oil caps are used on guitar pedals!
The MG Oil Caps are polyester capacitors, oil impregnated, manufactured  with an aluminum “mug”, with  external insulation covering., capacitance between .001 to .5 mfd, nominal tension of  600, 1000, 1200 or 1600VDC, central axial terminals on  copper electrolytic, tinned, diameter of 0.8mm, and minimum length 40 mm.  This results in long durability and quality of the material, with the oil impregnation done on special boilers.
